New Game: Terminator Salvation a quick review

Terminator Salvation the Movie is OK, but the game is somewhat poor. I was wondering why it's always like this when a movie and a video game gets tied-up. Its FPS (or for some thrird person shooter) you will be playing characters from the movie. Gun fight here and there, hide and shoot enemies thats it. The campaign is about 5 hours to finish.

The graphics is Good, very detailed and diversed environment. The system requirements are very high, and the video options are not so limited, you can tweak your resolution, aspect ratio, and brightness to get the best combo.
The story chronicles a mission depicting John Connor on his journey from foot soldier to leader of humankind. Set in postapocalyptic Los Angeles, 2 years before the events in the movie.
Overall, its a total disappointment even for Terminator fans like me.

GTA IV: A Search of an American Dream

Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA4), is a sandbox-style action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North. It is the sixth 3D game in the Grand Theft Auto series, the sixth console release, and the eleventh game overall. The game was preceded by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

The game is set in a redesigned rendition of Liberty City, a fictional city based heavily on modern day New York City. It follows Niko Bellic, a war veteran, who comes to the United States in search of the American Dream, but quickly becomes entangled in a seedy underworld of gangs, crime, and corruption.

Grand Theft Auto IV's gameplay is similar to previous games, in which your job is to drive cars, and then steal things, kill people, rob stores, etc. There are very few if ANY missions not connected to the main story for your respective character. There are 2 quest types in GTA IV, the main kind which usually have a chain, and the bonus ones which are one shooters, and build on the core character of Nicolie.

Any GTA player knows, you're going to take and deliver damage. For the first time you actually have a health meter for your targets. This doesn't mean shooting them insures they're dead, but if they do get up, odds are they'll be running from you and not shooting at you.

One of the realism qualities the game lacked for a while came to cars and shoot outs. How many times did you hit a tire ONCE and it's flat as a pancake? Or how about if you just nick a windshield and the other guy dies? Who can forget shooting the trunk and the car explodes? All of these problems are corrected in GTA IV. It takes time for the tire to go flat, you see blood and the car go off course to confirm a kill, and you'd better shoot the engine or that car isn't going to explode. To top it off, it's possible for your car to take enough NONE explosive damage to merely stall and die.

GTA4 graphics and sound are cudding edge, a whole new damage system that is actually more realistic, and this game takes place in a city that is iconic to humanity. The system requirements are high, and the multiplayer isn't perfect. The replay value is also a bit limited due to the realistic story.

The future of GTA IV is clear. It's more than just steal car, shoot, run from cops. It's become a real cultural piece that includes great interactive games and activities and has high potential to become even more expansive by possibly featuring more indoor locations, upgradable apartments or custom pad designing, hiring backup for tough missions, custom character creation or have the next main character be Puerto Rican or Asian since they have gone through white, Italian, and African American already, and possibly even feature multiple cities in which you can travel to by highway, subway, or take a flight to get to. That would increase mission potential greatly and expand the depth of the user experience greatly. While these additions might not be around the corner, I think it's safe to say that with the direction video games are going in the past couple of years alone, and seeing what's coming out soon this year, Rockstar will definitely release another great title with Grand Theft Auto V.

Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty: World at War (CoDWaW) is the latest installment in the Call of Duty series, a highly acclaimed bunch of First Person Shooters that, were set in World War 2. Call of Duty 4 took a step in the direction of freshness and originality, and decided to be set in Modern Times. Call of Duty: World at War, while it could have been an excitingly new experience in World War 2, just remains utterly stellar. There is NOTHING exciting here. It is comparable to a World War 2 mod for Modern Warfare, only, it isn't, so there is NO excuse for it being so utterly appalling. The Call of Duty series, since its beginning, has been well-known for bursting onto the World War 2 scene and revolutionizing it. It has helped spawn the generations of World War 2 knock-offs that are so prevalent in the First Person genre, so you'd think by now they'd be used to delivering high-quality games.

The Graphics are good, the environments are a bit bland, and extremely repetitive. You'd think that the jungles of the Pacific would be a great place to set unforgettable battles. The Graphics are okay - nothing special, but as said, I think all the new-end graphics look the exact same. The level-design is boring and straight-forward (The main pro to setting a game in a jungle is that it gives you a lot of areas to explore, but this is not so), and there are a heap of invisible barriers that prevent progress at any direction but straight ahead.

Sounds were good. Voice acting was pretty good, about at par. Some voice actors were better, some were worse. A couple other teamates had good voice actors, but no one talked nearly as much as your CO.

The story is standard WWII, mostly deals with assaulting the Japanese in the Pacific, and partially deals with helping the Russians reclaim lost territory. The only thing this game has got going for it is its World War 2 background, but it jumps around so much you can barely tell what is happening.

The game is very linear and enemies do almost the exact same thing every time you encounter them. Throw in some unbearable waiting periods, like waiting for someone to open a door, or taking a boat onto the beach, or listening to your teamates chew the fat, that can sometimes exceed the amount of time you'll spend killing enemies in a mission.

With high expectations this game greatly failed. Quite a disappointment. If i where you i'll stick to Modern Warfare.

NBA Finals: Game 5 Preview

This is the close out game for the LA Lakers and a must win game for the Orlando Magic. We predicted here at GamersGame that the Lakers will win in Five games, at 3-1 Laker lead our prediction will be true.

Series at a Glance
Orlando vs. LA Lakers
Lakers lead series 3-1

1. Game 1: at LAL
ORL 75, LAL 100 - Final

2. Game 2: at LAL
ORL 96, LAL 101 - Final OT

3. Game 3: at ORL
LAL 104, ORL 108 - Final

4. Game 4: at ORL
LAL 99, ORL 91 - Final OT

After a day following L.A.’s 99-91 overtime win in Game 4, both teams practiced on Saturday at Amway Arena, which because of the 2-3-2 format, will be hosting its final game of the season. The Magichave faith that they can become the first team in finals history to overcome a 3-1 deficit where the first 29 other teams failed.

“We know what’s ahead of us,” said Orlando center Dwight Howard. “We know what’s been said and the situation that we’re in. We won’t stop believing.”

The Lakers understand what’s at hand and don’t want to give life to an Orlando team that has come back before. One year after losing in the finals to the Celtics, Kobe Bryant and his teammates want to finish the job.

But it’s been a long time since the last one. Bryant knows that championships are what divide the very goods from the greats.

When asked if Jordan’s mark was a number he would like to chase? “I’m trying to get this damn fourth one,” Bryant said, laughing.

A rare smile. Throughout much of the series, he has worn a scowl. His kids nicknamed him Grumpy after one of the Seven Dwarfs. He’s turning into Happy. On the brink of returning to the top, Bryant seems more at ease, confident.

He has an appreciation for the journey to each of his three titles. Bryant knows the road well, and he can finally see its end.
